One never knows where a writing prompt will lead and this song reflects that more than any other I have written. I was at The 25th annual Lamb’s Retreat for Songwriters and John gave me a prompt about Michael Smith being "the draw." What started as a description of me drawing Michael's face from across the room became a simple journey through a perfect day in a small community along some ocean of dreaming. I feel immersed in it when I play it which is such a joy (not unlike "Follow That Road" or mindfulness practice). My hope is that you will enjoy being with me, then, there.

women wake making the morning, pull back their hair, dreams in their eyes

mid-day no wind, everything silent, shade disappears in the heat of the day

tuck in the birds, pull up the blankets, soft whispers fade and questions will wait
